The Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran announced that more than 30,000 licenses were issued after the full launch of the national licensing portal during August 2018 to August of this year.
(SHADA: TEHRAN) -- In a report outlining the important achievements of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance in last year, the Deputy Minister pointed out the ease of obtaining licenses by removing paper licenses and removing or merging more than 600 licenses by the Deregulation Board.
According to the report, among the measures taken to improve the country's business environment are deregulation, regulating the country's licensing system, cuts in licenses by of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare to 15, cuts in licenses by the Heritage, Crafts and Tourism Organization to 31, facilitating the process of payment of definitive property tax, abolishing circulars restricting the operation of multifunctional stores and chains, establishing provincial business unit windows, and empowering the private sector.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance has developed a production boom package which includes development of export markets, foreign exchange policies for production boom, short-term banking reform and strengthening the development banking, debt market development, and identifying and removing key barriers to business development.
Accordingly, Iran's 45-point upgrades in the 2019 report on business environment due to the development of the cross-border customs trade window and Iran's 29-point upgrades in the bankruptcy and debt indicator due to the World Bank data correction on the retention rate metric are among other achievements of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance from September 2018 to August 2019.
